IMPORTANT NOTE: While it is not exactly a bug, if you use the offset going positive on the attenuverter connected to the VCA, it will leave the VCA open and keeping sending out sound. This happened while I was using Drambo and for a while I thought the problem was with Drambo as it shows the last note played on its keyboard or pads. Modular synthesis is one of those things that can be hard to troubleshoot with large patches and doubly hard for newer users.

By the way, I dislike when names get too long to read on a computer or iPad, or whatever. So the name has been shortened to become readable in the allowed space.

This version of the MicroBrute patch has keyboard tracking for the filter added. I had to read up on what keyboard tracking for a filter is, so please leave a comment if you see something that does not look right.

This was implemented by taking the quantized note CV and running that into a math module to be added to the envelope CV. That new CV is run into the filter’s Frequency CV In port. My understanding of this application is that the Frequency CV In port of a filter is for keyboard tracking. Or, the alternative is for modulation for some other source.

I will leave the specifics of the effect of turning the related knob control for that CV but, it has the effect of increasing or decreasing above or below, respectively, the note played by the keyboard.

This should still work for any CV source used for a note input.

EDIT: I realized that I did not mark the filter keyboard tracking as “Added” in the Features List. That will show up in the next iteration. But it has been added.

NB.: After much frustration in using a version of this patch, I discovered that in some configurations, when the primary VCO (the one on the top row, BGA VCO) has the Linear mode activated, you will get hardly any sound out when playing C4. Reading the manual, this is a particular feature. As this patch stands when downloaded, this Linear option on the VCO is not selected.
