Insert Mode Program – Series Routing – Program MIX 50% + Insert 1 (unconnected) in Parallel. Certainly programmed for stereo, ’cause you’ll lose all the movement in mono.
Far more “inspired by” than a direct emulation of an EHX Flanger Hoax. Noise not included. 18VDC not required.
There are simply too many switching options in the original to cover in a single Program. I included my take on a few of them here. The range of modulation rate (0.07 Hz. to 220 Hz.) just isn’t possible, as well.
Positive Phaser into the Mod Delay algorithm, as the delays / flangers. It began life as TriceraChorus into Instant Flanger, but reluctantly, that just didn’t work out.
NOTE: PERFORM SW 2 (Phaser SPEED) is saved to SLOW, by default, as an offset to the ‘Flanger’ modulation speed. Otherwise, EXP1 will sweep modulation in both algorithms from 0.50 Hz. to 5.00 Hz. [Phaser in FAST mode].
All three HotKnobs are programmed for fine adjustments to the ‘Flanger Phaser Modulator’ parameters. They are in there to customize the sound to your own liking. Generally, mellower CCW — CW more intense:
* [P] HotKnob (+/-) adjusts the ‘flanger’ Feedback levels in Mod Delay [default = 50].
* [A] HotKnob CCW adjusts the Phaser Stages and Manual Mod. [default = 100].
* [B] HotKnob CCW adjusts Mod Delay time, from 11 mS to 1 mS [default = 100].
Other options include Phaser speed multiplier, delay drones, Swept Phaser + Delay DC, Positive to BiPhase / Log modulation switching, and Fixed Phase + Mod Delay modulation. See the Program Notes for more information on the PERFORM switch mappings.
