This very simple patch adapts the “One Finger Chord” trick found on some arrangers, particularly Yamaha ones, to VCV Rack.
Pressing any note of the keyboard will play the major chord of which that note is the root.
For example, playing on the keyboard the note C will sound the C major chord.
If, on the other hand, you simultaneously press any note lower than the root, you will obtain a minor chord.
So, playing note C + any note lower than C will sound the C minor chord.
Download the patch and try it.
A second patch should soon complete this feature by automatically playing, with the “one-finger chord”, the arpeggio associated (still inspired by Yamaha arrangers).
