Well, GAS has been nagging lately so I decided to make a synth to help deal with that. I saw a Mother 32 in a couple of videos lately. I have a Crave which is supposed to be somewhat close to the M32 but I want something I can just bring up in AUM. I have been using the Moog manual for this synth as a reference.
But why not add a couple of options such as three other types of oscillators as well as a DADSR(H) envelope generator? I like this particular EG as well as a lot of the BogAudio modules. They are great – well laid out, easy to use, functional, make great sounds, and so on. I have to figure out how to get the String Theory to sound like strings. But the Audible Instruments modules make some nice bleeps, bloops, and beep n boops.
I have yet to really implement a patch bay on the synths I have created. I know you can do it by figuring it all out using the modules you use, but the patch bays on these new synths make everything so easy to see and therefore easy to use, aside from not knowing what it can all do.
This is still a work in progress. The sequencer works. As does the external control by keyboard and sequencing externally should work as well. You might have to flip a switch or two in the top row, right side to get the behaviour you want.
The labelling of controls is used quite a bit in this patch. When a switch is labelled I put the top option of the switch input at the top of the label.
Edit: Near the bottom of the patch there is a Trigger button to switch control of the synth from the sequencer to external sequencing or a keyboard. If you use AUM, use the MIDI matrix to assign the AUM keyboard to the instance of miRack. Bring up the keyboard and play away. However, you can also use a regular MIDI keyboard as well, which I have had a lot of fun using.
I’m not going to lie . As a newbie. I have no idea. Could you put in a keyboard to help with playing with it?
