Luna – Generative Ambient VCV Rack Bidoo Bog Audio Impromptu

Seven tracks self-generating ambient:
# 1 ARPEGGIOS: 2 Bidoo Sequencers (one fast and one slow) arpeggiating two Geodesics Energy VCOs. Each Bidoo Sequencer has 4 slightly different sequences which are moved ahead by the Bog ADDRs. The Bog ADDRs also modulate the Energy VCOs. The two ARP audio signals are passed into the Audible Liquid filters (LP and BP) and mixed into a single track (via the Mix4).
#2 PAD: 2 ADDRs sequence super fast two FM OPs that go through Plateau reverb 100% wet and then are enveloped by the VCV Fundamental ADSR.
#3 DRUMS: I use two Impromptu Gateseqs as drum sequencers. The first one sequences snares and hihats. The second one sequences different configs of Autodaf percussive instruments (rides) that are progressively selected by the sequential switch.
#4 BASS: There are two basslines (both using the D root as pitch). The first is a shorter clock pulsating sine. The second is a long wave that bursts occasionally mixing two Bog Audio LVCOs at different ocatves and different wave forms (saw and square) then distorted via Twrex and with Amplitude (Volume) and VCF enevloped by two different ADSRs… I wanted to try to give it that State Azure sound.
#5 LEAD: Two FM Ops are sequenced by the Turing machine. I use S&H to make sure I don’t get tails on the pitch.
#6 HARM: The Impromptu Gate Seq sequences some envelopes for 2 Bog VCOs and 1 Additator (additive synthesis). The pitches of all 3 VCOs are from other sequencers and are “blocked” via the Bog Audio dual S&Hs.
#7: LOOP: Unfiletred Lead and Harmony audio signals are passed into Clouds set in the Looping Delay Mode.
#8 I am leaving you an 8th track free in case you want to add some ambient sample like forest trees, ocean waves etc. You might also consider some other grains (via Clouds) or some random evolving envelopes of filtered noise.

RANDOM LOGIC: All Audio signals are passed into Bog Audio Mutes module (Latch Mode) before entering the main mixer. Bernouli Gates (Branches) clocked slowly activate and deactivate the Mutes randomly. The mutes are divided into mono signals (for drums, arpeggios and bass) and to stereo signals for the others (in order to mute R and L together).

FINAL MIXING The different tracks are mixed on the mindmeld 8 track mixer. I use Valley and a clocked Blob as Reverb and Delay send effects. The main mix passes first via staff where it sidechains the Drums track and then passes again through Pressor for final compression before going to Audio.

Patch is color-coded and organized in sections using labels and blanks.

I hope you enjoy the patch… I am sure that if you spend some time you can make it sound way better than the original. If you send me a link on thne Youtube comments I’ll check your version for sure :)
