Loop Forest

4 separate loopers with various parameters being modulated by LFOs, including record, loop start, reverse, and loop length. Each looper has a pitch offset and is fed to a VCA on the final “control” page to mix.

Nice to see you in Zoia land Jeremy.
    Video is private apparently.

This is what I love about ZOIA: a fairly complex concept (4 loopers, just simple melodies, blending and fading in/out) that is quite powerful yet super achievable with ZOIA..
Excellent stuff! Gonna play with this one (or build my own variation ;)

Thanks so much for this patch- it functions beautifully right out of the gate and mixing makes sense. Even moreso than the patch tagged as ‘microcosm’, this one offers a similar experience of being able to play and get something back that’s abstracted enough from the original input that it feels collaborative, and very musical. And because this is all built on Empress electronics, there’s no issue with noise floor like with the microcosm. This is one of my current favorites.

Hello, love the patch, i’m noticing the looper #4 sometimes outputs a horrible crunching noise, at least with Zoia firmware 4.0. I wonder if its because that one gets parameters toggled super fast when the LFO goes up to 40Hz… although it doesn’t seem to be directly linked to that. Is anyone else seeing (or hearing) this?

If I turn the modulation level down on the LFO’s control input to 40% then I don’t seem to get the noise any more. At 50% I still do get it. Maybe an issue in the new Zoia firmware.

Such a pleasure to jam with this. It was almost impossible to make a bad sound, and not hard to get a great one.

Hi Jeremy and zoiaers! I made a mod of this patch for my own use, but I though I may as well share it in case someone else finds it useful. The main mods are:
    – UI page for prettiness
    – CC controlling the loopers vcas and slightly adding to the Lfos activity
    – Midi clock quantizing the loopers recording (deactivated until the Zoia receives clock)
    – Mono input switch
    – Stompswitches control play and looping (for the Deluge)
Here is the moded patch: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1JMl2Nr-E0YfGQ3HuHuyg0-ahBDmtxhzq/view?usp=sharing
