LaunchPad CC control

This Mozaic patch lets use MIDI notes 48-69 on your LaunchPad X or LaunchPad Pro to send CC messages rather than MIDI notes.

Pressing MIDI note 48 would NOT send the note, but instead send CC1 (modulation wheel) messages. The value it sends for CC1 depends on the pressure you apply to that pad on your LaunchPad.

By default, MIDI notes 48-69 map to CCs 3, 9, 14, 15, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 85, 86, 87, 88, 89, 90 respectively. You can use the 22 knobs in Mozaic to change the CC that maps to each MIDI note.

Note that Mozaic can’t see which LaunchPad you’re using – it can only see the MIDI note that maps to the pad. You’ll therefore need to set up a LaunchPad slot with MIDI notes 48-69 mapped to the 22 pads you want to use.

To use this live, you’ll need a both a LaunchPad Pro or X and another MIDI controller. You’d use the other MIDI controller to play notes, and the LaunchPad to send MIDI CCs to affect those notes.
