Insert Mode Program. Configured for Parallel Routing (default), or Series Routing (optional). For a different take, Series Routing is well worth checking out: Octaves & harmonic shifts vary throughout the decaying envelope. Program MIX 65%. Sculpt alongside PolySynth. Programmed for stereo use.
Loosely based on an ancient monophonic synth + effects processor for guitar. This version is Polyphonic (default**) throughout, and excludes all but one of the six on-board instrument sounds. You can stack those voices, but individually, they don’t have that much in common with the labeled instruments themselves.
Groundbreaking for 1980, limited by today’s standards, with a remarkable set of analog features still useful today. Simultaneous triggering of wah on “distortion guitar” with a resonant filter sweep on the “synthe” module. As programmed, synth waveforms are stacked in a preset configuration; modulation & pitch shifted intervals are variable.
EXP1 drops Env Filter Sens in Sculpt, along with changes to PolySynth Attack, LFO Amount, LFO Rate, Spread, and Detune. EXP2 (optional) sweeps Sculpt’s Low Boost & Compressor, with PolySynth’s Pitch Wheel up one octave, and Shift 1-2. Use it for whammy, pitchbend & gliding portamento effects (saved at Heel).
+++ Easter Egg #1: MIDI CC #8 is mapped to Sculpt Mix, MIDI CC #40 reverse-mapped to PolySynth Mix. Combine these two MSB/LSB messages as the Balance slider between instrument and synthe sections. Or reprogram to the [P] HotKnob (below) as a 0+100 100+0 Mix control crossfader. +++
+++ Easter Egg #2: Use the X-Over parameter in Sculpt as a mock panpot, by virtue of the Stereo Mode – Split parameter [default = 1000 Hz.]. Shifts the emphasis to the Low or High Drive parameter. +++
All three HotKnobs are pre-programmed for making fine adjustments to several of the effects. Customize the sound, using these variations:
* [P] HotKnob (+/-) – adjust Low & High Drive in Sculpt, with Cutoff & Resonance in PolySynth. [default = 60]
* [A] HotKnob (+/-) – adjust Pre Filter & Post Filter frequencies in Sculpt. [default = 88].
* [B] HotKnob (+/-) – adjust Env Sens and LFO Dest in PolySynth. [default = 75].
All other options affect the PolySynth instance, and include momentary or latching FREEZE, momentary maximum Resonance, plus a Play Style switch to **Monophonic, for vintage authenticity. Dial through the Hybrid value percentages for filter / envelope retriggering vs. tracking accuracy blends.
See the Program Notes for more information on the PERFORM switch mappings.

Wicked synth patch! Love it.
