0.2: Preset saving works, slight change to gain scaling
A simple but versatile string synthesizer, capable of a range from lo-fi piano sounds to dulcimer plucks.
Architecture: Eight karplus-style voices into a flanger into a filter / distortion circuit into a plate reverb. Additional harmonics can be added to the voices via some frequency modulation; this can get into pretty weird towards higher levels. Try using the bandpass filter at different mix / cutoff / Q levels to change the strength and character of the pluck sound. For examples, try loading presets 0 and 1 to get an idea for the potential range. In order to keep the layout simple, the only control for the flanger is wet/dry; if different base settings are desired, open the ‘flangercontrols’ subpatch and adjust to taste.
Acknowledgements: Based on a gen~ object from Wakefield / Taylor’s Generating Sound and Organizing Time exported as an external using @samesimilars wrapper, and using @samesimilar’s Enrichment filter and @T8R’s plate reverb.
Layout: This patch uses the classic C&G style layout, where different pages are accessed by holding down the aux button and pressing the appropriate ‘black’ key as indicated on the menu. This also includes functionality for a basic sequencer. Beyond that, the controls are straightforward, with the screen line corresponding to the appropriate knob.
Thank you, it’s a wonderful synth. Love the input gain
