Kaleid-O-Tron, an Eyesy mode by TRC
This mode draws a rotating, audio-reactive kaleidoscope made from concentric circles whose size and placement respond to sound. The user controls symmetry, rotation, scale, and color behavior through the knobs, with optional LFO-based color cycling and direction flips on audio triggers.
Controls:
🎛️Knob 1: Number of kaleidoscope slices (3 to 24)
🎛️Knob 2: Rotation speed
🎛️Knob 3: Overall size / radius
🎛️Knob 4: Color mode (normal color-cycles < 1.0, LFO at 1.0; if it looks too monochromatic turn Knob5 all the way up to 1 and some oomph is added)
🎛️Knob 5: Background color
I should probably mention that for the Full Effect I highly suggest PERSISTENCE should be turned ON for this mode. But you be you.
This one was based on the S – Concentric mode provided by C&G. I’d also add that it looks great with the extended palettes available in my Knobulator program.
