High gain guitar Rig with Friedman amp model

Disclaimer: you should be able to use this patch only if you have upgraded to the firmware 331 Beta 1 for testers.

The integration of the NAM module in the Beebo environment is a gift from the sky!
Loki Davison also did a wonderful work of capturing a bunch of great amps which sound so good.
There is a lot of great clean and crunch models for the moment in the Beta 331 firmware. Next version should implement higher gain amp models.

In the meantime I tried to patch a higher gain sound from the existing models by adding a saturator module in front of NAM. Just like adding a drive pedal to boost a tube amp in real life.
It shows that NAM module reacts really weel to gain staging.

I also adding LPF and HPF to EQ the extreme frequencies and a noise gate to keep hiss under control.

My patch is based on the Friedman HBE model but you may also want to try with other models like Diezel VH2 and Soldano SLO. You may have to adjust the saturator gain values and the noise gate.

You can also try clean amp models like the Milkman to obtain a nice break in from a Fender-style amp.
I hope you’ll have fun.
