Hello 1999

Aural time machine creates sounds of the Precise Tone Plan – the call signaling and progress tones from the North American Public Switched Telephone Network.

Uses some oscillators, switches, and sequencers to recreate tones. First page replicates classic touch tone phone. Buttons on left start and stop dial tone, ring tone, and busy signal. Stomp switch resets in case you stop ring tone or busy signal on an active step of the sequencer. I’m sure there’s a better way to do it.

Got the idea after listening to this great Twenty Thousand Hertz podcast –

Enjoy!

This is unreal (or rather, maybe too real). These sounds have an incredible effect on me. Time warp.
