HATᴱ is a metalic percussive instrument utilizing detuned square waves and parallel bandpass filters. It is based off the design of the 808 hihat/cymbal, but has been supercharged with additional controls and new features designed for quick sonic exploration. Care has been taken to automatically adjust the gain of the signal based upon the parameters set, to limit gain fluctuations.

Note: Both version 1.0 and 2.0 of HATᴱ are included in the zip. 2.0 Relies on functionality in the beta, my apologies.

Controls:
– Root Pitch: Tunes all the oscillators
– Spread: Adjusts the oscillators offsets between unison and multiple inharmonic tunings
– Tune Morph: Adjusts the offsets of the oscillators between different chords. Set spread to 0 to get harmonic sounds.
– Osc 0-6: controls how many oscs used in the circuit (0,2,4,6)
– Pulsewidth: adjust the width of the square waves
– Vintage: adds slop to the square pitches
– Ring: dry/wet ring mod of osc pairs
– Drive: Hard folds the signal
– Half Rectify: adds harmonics by flipping up the lower half of the signal
– BPF Shift: adjusts the center of the two bandpass filters at different rates, goes upwards.
– BPF Res: resonance of the bandpass filters
– BPF 0-48: adjust slope of the parallel bandpass filters, from off to steep
– Decay: Decay of the 2 VCA envelopes (one per BPF)
– Curve: Sets the ratio of the decays (more or less). At higher values, one BPF will have a long decay and the other a short decay. Also adds some attack at higher values

A pitch and BPF shift envelope are also included, as well as a general purpose key-retriggering LFO.
