HarmonyExplorer

I saw the preview video of Sound Workshop’s Quord Harmony Exploration Machine, and I just loved the simple idea!

I combined this with a bit of the OVUM Sound Explorer synth, using sine oscillators, instead of saw.

There are four voices with controls for:
– volume
– tuning
– duty cycle

These run into a bank of four parallel filters, one lowpass cutoff filter and three bandpass filters, that allow you to hone in on specific overtones, interactions, and sounds.
Each filter has controls for:
– volume
– tuning
– resonance

These all run into an overdrive module, which in turn runs into parallel delay and reverb.
You control the input gain on the overdrive.
You control volume and decay for reverb and volume and delay time for the delay.

This all builds up into a simple patch that allows you to explore harmonies. It’s fun!
