There is a solo bass drone and three polyphonic instruments: a string-like pad; delayed blocks; and an overlapped and offset sequence. The envelopes of all the separate voices are triggered randomly, and the attack and decay times of each envelope vary randomly.

While the overall harmonic content is determined by pitch-class set 5-27, the drone anchors the chord as a d-flat major ninth.
