Granul8or

Update 1.2:
Changed to mixer layer module. (It is now possible to mix sounds from all four parts)
Fixed problem with notes in Key Mode being mono. (Not perfect)
Remove TRIGGER/GATE Switch.
Internal optimization.

Update 1.1:
Reduced pop noise during high-speed triggering.

—————————————————————————————————————————

Granul8or is a granular sampler with 8 grains.
Inspired by Instruo Arbhar and m4l granulator.

—– Manual —–

KEY MODE
Switches to an external pitch signal and the sound goes through the last amplifier section.

GRAIN TRIGGER
Int: Use Granul8or’s internally generated trigger to create grain.
Ext: uses an external trigger signal to create grain.

GRAIN CONTROL
Intensity: Counterclockwise will make the triggers for making grains equally spaced.
Clockwise: Triggers to create grains are randomized.
In the middle of the knob, both triggers are mixed.

Attack/Decay: Amp envelope for the grains.

TrigSpeed: Controls the speed of the triggers for making grain.

Spray: Controls the random deviation of the start of the grain.
When the Spray parameter is set to its maximum value, the starting position of the grain will be completely random in the entire layer.

Scan: Sets the point in the layer where the grains are generated.

PanSpread: controls the spread of random panning of the grain.
Counterclockwise is mono. When set to maximum, it is almost like a hard pan.

▶︎ | ◀︎: sets the probability percentage of the playback direction of each grain.
When the knob is in the center position, the probability of the grain direction is set to 50% each for forward and reverse playback.
If the knob is turned fully counterclockwise, the probability of the grain direction is set to 100% forward playback.
If the knob is turned fully clockwise, the grain direction probability is set to 100% reverse playback.
The playback direction is only a setting for the sample itself. After the playback direction is set, the sound is shaped by each grain’s amplifier envelope. Therefore, depending on the Attack/Decay value, there may not be an immediate audible effect.

AmpSpread: controls the random amount of grain volume.
Counterclockwise is maximum volume for all grains. As you turn clockwise, the volume of the grains randomly decreases.

GRAIN PITCH: applies a random voltage offset to the pitch of each grain.
When the knob is in the center position, the grain pitch is not changed by the random voltage.
When the knob is turned counterclockwise from the center position, the bipolar unquantized random pitch deviation is applied. Turning the knob increases the offset of the voltage.
Turning the knob clockwise from the center position applies bipolar quantized random pitch deviation. Turning the knob increases the voltage offset. The quantizer on the right sets the note.

LAYERS: Flexi sampler is inside. Record the sound here first.
There are 4 parts. Each sound can be mixed.

MASTER SECTION: The grains are put together in the mixer and go to Reverb.
If KEY MODE is on, it then goes through the amp envelope.
If KEY MODE is off, the grains go through the reverb and then to the master out.
