Emily Hopkins’ collaboration pedal with OBNE is extremely my jam but I’m also extremely broke. If you have that or the Walrus Qi or the Hologram Microcosm you kind of already have this sound but why not have another iteration of it. This is my first attempt at a patch which might have been too ambitious so if you know of a better way to do what I did by all means edit this. CPU generally floats around 71ish% on this. Made on version 5.00.
Features include: Chance control to introduce randomized pitch shifts in a granular module from -1 to +2 (this is the main focus of this patch), ping pong/reverse delay blend, and other stuff (reverb and bitcrush). The most important (in my opinion) value adjustments all have controls on page 0.
In performance mode the scroll footswitch toggles the granular freeze.
Page 0 control labels and a schematic for how I did the pitch shift probability control are included in the zip so you don’t have to spend 3 hours after your bed time figuring it out like I did.
UPDATE: there was an error in the probability control diagram that also lead to a mistake in the patching for this that caused pitch shifting where it shouldn’t when controlling the probability value. I corrected this and updated the file, sorry for the mixup!
Sounds amazing. How are the foot switches set up with this? I’m finding that just stomping around can latch feedback but can’t figure out exactly what’s doing what. Cheers!
