Generative House Music v0.7 by Kinsey Dulcet
Use CLKD to start! What you are hearing:
10 chords cycling in a non-repeating, random fashion. The bassline and arpeggio follow these chords.
7 sequencers with 6 patterns a piece. Most of them are stochastic and they are randomly shift every 8 measures. This logic and more are handled by the BASICally modules (they open with a drawer to t he right if you make room). All modules used are free.
Each of the following elements has a sequencer:
* Chord Hit * Bass Trigger * Bass V/Oct * Hi-Hat * HH Decay * Clap
Decay length, vibrato and portamento on the pad are randomized using arrays.
The hi-hats and claps aux sends are automated randomly.
There are sixteen elements that randomly walk controlled but the Surge XT LFO x EG in the middle.
A synth flute playing an arpeggio comes in and out and is rotating between clock speeds.
Fun things to do:
* Hit the PUSH button to the right of the Pattern Randomize anytime you don’t like what you are hearing.
* Changing CLK1 value on the CLKD module from /32 makes it so the patterns change more or less than every 8 measures. For example, I find /7 can be rewarding if you know what you are listening to.
* No one said your sequence lengths had to be divisible by 8 or 2 or anything of the sort.
* If you have the patience, you can switch the chords out using the linked Chord-Keys. You don’t have to use 10 chords either, but you’d have to change the BASICally code that handles that.
