Insert Mode Program. Series Routing (default). For a normalized bath of airy reverb, use the optional Parallel Routing. Program MIX 40-45% (via EXP1). DualVerb into DynaVerb, with stereo use in mind. Plug ‘n’ play? First see the tweak below.
[THRESHOLD = -16.0 dB] Averaged to my own playing style(s) and P/U combinations, into a conditioned, gain-staged clean input. It is important to carefully adjust Threshold to your system & quirks, and re-SAVE the Program. Dial in a lower value (CCW), then slowly adjust upward (CW) to the targeted sweet spot:
* Lightly played – medium attack = no gated reverb effect.
* Chords & hard plucks trigger a full reverb.
* Note decay quickly sputters out, back to dry input signal.
* Or, simply leave the Threshold much lower for a constant background flow.
* Similarly, HS1 & HS3 effectively eliminate the gating.
Base Program: Two reverbs – with offset entrances & EQ – heavily clamped down to appear as intermittent glitches. Ideally, through your playing techniques. Foot controls introduce a 3rd reverb, dynamically changing gated shape & overall reflection stacking.
* EXP1 controls [P] Mix & Pre Delay A & B in DualVerb + Attack & Release in DynaVerb.
* EXP2 controls the [B] HotKnob parameters below.
* Both expression pedals are saved at the full Heel position.
HotKnob mappings, for adjusting EQ, size of reverbs & decay makeup:
* [P] HotKnob (+/-) adjust Size + Tone A & B in DualVerb & Size + Low & High Level in DynaVerb [default = 75]
* [A] HotKnob (+/-) adjust Decay A & B in DualVerb [default = 30].
* [B] HotKnob(CW) adjust Omnipr Mode/Decay in DynaVerb [default=0 -OR- EXP2].
* MIDI CC# 1 [P] HotKnob parameters above.
* MIDI CC# 2 DynaVerb Gated / Omni Ratio
* MIDI CC# 3 DynaVerb Threshold
* MIDI CC# 8 DualVerb Mix
* MIDI CC#10 DualVerb Dual Mono – A/B Mix
* MIDI CC#40 DynaVerb Mix
* MIDI CC#42 DynaVerb Sidechain
* MIDI CC#71 DualVerb Resonance
Other options:
* HS1 – shift focus to the 3rd reverb, with a medium-long wash.
* HS2 – momentary or latching FREEZE / dry – all three reverbs.
* HS3 – momentary or latching INFINITE / buildup – all three reverbs.
See the Program Notes for more information on the PERFORM switch mappings.
