Triggers a cluster of buffers on midi note, shutting off dry signal until release of keys. Up to four triggers can be accepted at one time, freezing the signal at each point in time.

Controls for size of the buffer, and attack and decay of the frozen signal are available.

Trigger manually with midi in a master track or in an AuFX instance, or consider placing after a stochastic gate, Arp module, or placing directly on an instrument track to be triggered alongside the instrument.

You could also remove the 1st layer, and then add a mixer after the processor (so dry signal is always playing). Or, remove the envelopes from the buffer layers so the buffers will sound out until refrigerated with new signal.
