This little utility allows to quickly change the channel of incoming MIDI note and control messages. I created it mainly for the Arturia MicroFreak. A synthesizer that can be a very useful MIDI controller as well. But it can be used with any MIDI source.
The script was designed with quick and easy switching in mind (I love live jamming…).
The script has the following features:
– Send MIDI output from the MicroFreak (or any MIDI source) to one or more MIDI channels.
– Configure input channel or use Omni mode to allow input from all channels.
– Either use one output channel setting for both Note and CC messages, or have two different setups.
– Quickly change a single output channel (pads act as radio buttons), or send cloned MIDI messages to multiple channels (pads act as toggle switches).
– Configure a minimum note length (gate).
– Set the minimum number of simultaneously active notes that will be routed to the selected channels. This is useful when you want to send chords to a different channel and keep monophonic played notes on the input channel.
