This patch arose from a tutorial I watched on YouTube about creating formants with mainly eurorack systems. But it can also be done with many regular synths.

After trying a number of different combinations of formants based patches, I had a few which I used to jam, all making different sounds. This one was originally a monophonic patch but I liked the sound and thought it would be fun to hear it polyphonically.

The hurdle with this was to get the envelopes to all change the same amount. It can be seen I used the TACT-1 modules as faders to the CV inputs of the DADSR(+) modules. The trick with this is to turn the ADSR and Hold knobs all the way to the right. If not, the TACT-1 faders do not work as expected.

One of the fun things about this way of making Formants sounds is the down-sampling of the filter output using the self-resonating filter as a gate signal for the sample and hold.

Turn the cutoff frequencies up and down to hear a difference in the output.
