Here is a variation on the 4 voices poly of formants patch. This one has a big button to press to change the sampling signal from a resonant filter to a VCO.

The VCO square wave was used because this module will produce a signal that goes higher than the filter will produce when self-resonating. This faster sampling rate with the VCO means the output from the S&H sounds much smoother.

If you want to eliminate the pulsing in the output of this patch, simply disconnect the LFO from any modules.

My next step is to use a polyphonic filter so I can use the one knob to change the values on the module and leave the modulation sources as they are. It should free up a lot of CPU.

But hey, enjoy this one. It can be a lot of fun to play it with a keyboard. Get a bass line going and a melody with the right hand.
