This sketch has four simple elements: a flute-like melodic line, a polyphonic pad, a recurring sequence, and subdued claves-like strikes to provide points of subtle focus. Its ambience is generated stochastically. Each element arrives and departs at random. Articulations within an element are stochastically determined, as well. The melody and harmony are based on a five-tone pitch set (5-35), which is just a sequence of stacked fourths. This is merely a five-minute snippet. The piece can run unobtrusively in the background, ever changing, for hours.
Thank you for labeling the sections of your patch. This is super helpful for someone like me who’s just beginning to learn about modular synthesis.
