Feigenbaum Sequencer

The Feigenbaum constant is a formula where a value is multiplied by itself while adding a constant. With most values for this constant the outcome number will go to infinity (positive or negative). But with some values, interesting patterns are generated. In this patch these patterns are used to output midi notes.

You can use this patch with the build in (very basic) oscillator. But, it’s more interesting to use the midi out of the patch and connect it to a hardware or software synth, or a drumcomputer.

Begin with the Special number slider, its the basis of the patch. In the graph you can see the different patterns evolve. Search for good combinations between pitch control and pitch stretch. If you want to get a global view of the different patterns which are available, you can hit the Demo toggle.
