This is “factorial-ix,” a 12-preset patch for VCV Rack. It’s a generative sound design tool that uses a single, complex patch to produce a wide range of experimental and industrial textures. The patch relies heavily on the Stoermelder-P1 Transit module to recall and morph between 12 carefully designed presets.

How It Works:
The patch is built for exploration. The audio path begins with two VCOs (one standard, one wavetable) modulated by a combination of a Slope Detector and a Matrix Mixer. This signal is filtered, passed through a VCA, and then processed by a chain of effects: a Delay, rexmix mixer, Compressor, and Plateau reverb.

A separate clocking and sequencing section (SEQ3 + Chances) provides rhythmic modulation to the main VCOs.
