Discussions in the Discord channel about ER led to this cool idea incorporating a little gem from @desolationjones on producing a pendulum counter that goes forward and back.

Why not use the pendulum to push the steps of a euclidian pattern forwards and backwords instead of 16 (for example) steps that wrap.
