Drone Age

A set of three asynchronous drones.

I’ve added some additional controls on the first page to make things a little simpler from the off.

There are a few monitoring pixels which now look a lot less esoteric and typically ambient.
There are a few more simple controls added to this page which are outlined in the main image for this patch.

The controls are:
-LFO phase reset
-Mixers for each drone
-Dry/wet for Ping Pong delay and reverb lite
-Delay Mod
-Reverb Decay
-Crude tuning for all drones (perhaps better off going through the pages and changing them manually)

Below is an example of Drone Age running through a Norns Shield with the aforementioned more aesthetic pixel array

We’re (i.e. yours truly) and a select members of the society with undeniably sublime tastes (i.e. whoever I choose) starting a period where we’ll give three (more might come later) knighthoods to persons who made the most emotionally sophisticated and impactful, and technically advanced (etc.) Zoia patches.

Definitions of emotional sophistication and impactfulness, and technical advancement were made through an elaborate study involving linguists, medical biologists, audio engineers, public administration experts, and farmers.

Candidates will be selected based on a thorough evaluation process (details are not disclosed) including but not limited to A SENSE OF HUMOUR.

The name of the aforementioned knighthood is “Most Distinguished Order of EmpresZ”

Laureates will be announced in vast varieties of media with enormous global impact (i.e. excluding press and maybe only in that famous video site); admins of the sites related to the aforementioned device are welcome to share their positive ideas.

As a side note, we (:P) thought that your “Drone Age” patch is one of the most ideal candidates. However, the patch itself doesn’t exactly sound like the one in your video. Is it due to the other fx device you use?

Yeah, it’s running through a Norns Shield which is probably why it doesn’t sound the exact same. It could also be that I stupidly forgot to save it so had to build it again from scratch…

Some parameters will definitely be different to the video, but with a bit of fiddling (maybe altering ADSR lengths or changing the oscillator’s waveforms around) , I’m sure you can replicate it nearly exactly.

I’m also happy to hear that farmers are finally getting the recognition they deserve in the field (heh)

I gonna (or I was) announce that knighthood thing in Zoia Facebook page too, however I fed up at the point when they asked me my phone number and a “clear” photo of my face to be able to create an account.

Yeah I’m old and I don’t have such (social they say?) accounts already.

Nevertheless, your patch sounds wonderful anyway. Thanks for sharing.

I didn’t know you needed photo id to create an account on facebook?

Glad you enjoyed the patch. Just a thought, If you wanted it to sound more like the video, maybe attach a slow LFO to the speed of the delay and crank up the reverb decay.
