Double Knot Emulator

At least from a functional perspective, I believe this to be a fairly accurate emulation of the Lorre-Mill Double Knot synth, implemented in VCV Rack almost entirely using Venom free modules. The only exceptions are MindMeld PatchMaster for the UI, Stoermelder CV-Map to control moving lights within the UI, and Pachde Info for patch bay documentation.

I built this patch using Venom version 2.9.0, which at the time of posting has not yet hit the library. You can get the Venom 2.9 binaries at https://github.com/DaveBenham/VenomModules/releases/tag/v2.9.0

Here are some known emulator differences from the Lorre-Mill hardware:
– Added buttons to engage alternate configurations for the digital to analog conversion (DAC), which adds more sequencing variety
– Emulator DAC is bipolar, hardware is unipolar
– Greater use of attenuverters for CV amounts
– Added normalized inputs to the left and right VCAs instead of only allowing triangle waves
– Incorporated a few of the features from the
– Option to turn FM off
– Added normalized inputs for FM1 and FM2 to override use of triangle waves
– Output begins saturating passed 50% volume

The demo video gives a tiny taste of what this emulator can do. There is so much more to explore.
