DEATH on the HIGH SEAS ⚓

⚓ DEATH on the HIGH SEAS is an audio-reactive simulation of the high seas of old! If the pirates and the cyclone don’t get you the KRAKEN WILL! 🐙

Similar to my other game mode ‘Blitzkrieg Bop’ this one finds us on a nautical course. Procedurally generated islands. Anonymous Pirates versus some Royal Navy or another. Locked in a turn-based, music & beat-driven battle against each other and the elements both natural and… less than natural.

The knob controls do some some stuff that determine the parameters of the game.
Knob 1… I forget what it does exactly. (It may do nothing.)

Knob 2 sets the number of ships per side from 1 to 10.

Knob 3 controls map scale.

Knob 4 controls color saturation.

Knob 5 I think controls the number of trees that are randomly generated. The trigger will advance play by a turn. So will loud music. I intended this to just kind of go as long as there is sound coming in. Ships get tossed around by storms and sometimes the Kraken gets his salad tossed by the Pirates! It has simple rules and can get stuck. It may even crash at extreme parameter settings… rarely. This is a work-in-progress.
