a vcv rack patch which contains a very basic DAW system in order to (a) set up and run a song and to (b) manipulate individual voices without the song playing. it contains a sample song named “daydreams and nightmares”. it also contains a basic “manual” regarding its functions.

i still feel like i actually don’t really know what i’m doing in vcv rack. i’d be more than pleased to receive critical reactions regarding the setup of the patch and the idea of a basic DAW in vcv rack, maybe even regarding the song itself (which was not the focus of this patch). i’d guess it might feel wrong to use vcv rack in that way…

edit: the patch uses only free modules. it might need bit of a beefy pc to be run properly. in my pc (i7-9700k) i ran it set to use 4 threads which resulted in about 60% processor load at about 4.5 GHz
