This is an audio DSP processing preset that only applies to Continuums with Digitial Audio Input or EaganMatrix Module that supports Analog Audio input. It will not run on a ContinuuMini or Osmose. It makes no sound by itself and does not require the fingerboard to do anything. It is controlled with Macro Controllers.
Instructions:
Primarily intended for EaganMatrix Module. This preset is intended for voice processing. It uses the HarMan Live from Delay option to perform Granular Processing on the incoming audio signal. It primarily can deepen the voice or contort it in the higher frequency direction turning it into a Micky Mouse like effect.
For EaganMatrix module, connect a microphone to an Instrument Interface (for Eurorack, the Befaco Instrument Interface module works well) though you can use an external microphone interface to feed an appropriate level signal to the Left input of the EaganMatrix module. Adjust input level on module and also in the Editor to values that work for you. Then talk or sing and use the Macro Controllers to manipulate the voice.
Macro Controllers:
i = F-Trigger (Adjusts the Harman frequency at which new grains are triggered). Adjust to a value that you like.
ii = Adjusts the Harmonic truncation. If new grain is triggered the grains duration will be inversely proportional to this value. This can distort the voice. A normal setting creates a voice similar to the input with all other settings being somewhat in the middle. Again you need to just play with it.
iii = I-Index (aligns grain positions when in the Live from Delay mode – otherwise it would index into the Harman Spectral set). Play around with this to fine tune the vocal output.
iv = S-Dilate (Spectral Dilation). This will probably be the main control you use as this will stretch and compress the vocal signal creating a pitch shifting effect.
v = Input Level (adjusts the input level of the Left audio channel into the delay that drives the Harman Live from Delay option). Goes up to Unity (default). Note that the preset sends the SL/SR output to the Master section at unity level.
A little bit of default Recirculator is applied but you can experiment with changing the Recirculator type and amount.
