My contribution to the Very Cool Patch Contest Week 9. This week is all about Dexter of Valley. Of course, the name Dexter is an allusion to the Yamaha DX-7, because Dexter is also an great FM synth. But for me, the name Dexter is forever connected to Dexter Morgan. Dexter is a coroner and serial killer and that dark half of his personality, he calls his dark brother. That’s why my song is also called Dark Brother and it tells the story of Dexter. Starting with his first steps as a child, until his first murder, including flatline of the heart monitor. I also designed the patch that way. For one, there are 4 Dark Brothers in there (modules that have light and dark skins) and I only used red cables, as Dexter does in the reconstruction of blood spatters. Be careful when listening, it ends up being brutal and cacophonic.
