creepverb

Creepy shimmer reverb patch. This was working well with my Medusa synth. I found various settings of the synth’s filter required tweaks to some settings, particularly with buzzier synth sounds. I tend to like this effect on higher pitches.

PAGE 0 aka In Out Shift:
Audio comes in and goes out on the left hand path.

Upon arrival, the signal goes into an SVF set to HPF.

The “lows” bypass the “shimmer” section and go right to a diffuser/delay/reverb.

The “highs” go to a pair of Delay Lines mated with Pitch Shifters. The Delay Lines are set at 33 and 99 ms (longer times become more arpeggiated). The Pitch Shifts are at 12 and 15 semitones (the 15 makes it creep, so set it at 7 or 19 for less creep). These are then fed to a SVF with a LPF set to keep the shimmers from ascending into brightness, as they are fed back into the Delay Lines. The LPF is modulated with an LFO for some dynamics.

PAGE 1 aka Dif Del Ghost:

Audio from Page 0 is patched to a Diffuser. I’m not 100% comfortable with my Diffuser settings, but they are what they are for now. As I better understand the Diffuser module I may consider revisions.

The signal then routes to a Delay Line (I wasn’t happy with the Delay w/Mod module here).

This all patches through to the Ghost Reverb. As Roky says, if you have ghosts you have everything.

SAMPLE ADDED
I just added a sample of the patch. I’m Running a Medusa synth into an Echo for the alias effect, then into the Creepverb patch.

so is this not suppose to work for guitar and only synth because it doesn’t work with my guitar?

    Cool.
Try playing with the cutoff frequencies for the LPF and HPF. Aside from the “theme” frequency cutoff I tried to keep the shimmer from starting in lower frequencies to keep the low/mid range clean/dry for definition, but various applications will need adjusting.
