Novation LaunchControl XL MK2 is one of the Midi controllers with lots of controls for little money.
This patch allows you to control four synth voices using the midi controller.
The assignment of the controls can be switched from synth voice to synth voice using the bottom row of buttons.
Usage – the short version
1. Install the settings from LaunchControl_XL_MK2_VCV_RACK.syx as a user template in the LauchControl device.
2. Load the patch and define LauchControl as input devices in the first two MIDI->CV modules and in MIDI-CAT.
3. In the third MIDI->CV module, define a keyboard as an input device.
You can now switch between the synth voices using the bottom row of buttons (1-4). Button 7 shows the mixer and button 8 shows the control modules. With the Device button you can see all modules.
(The patch is optimized for a resolution of 2560×1440. For other resolutions, the setting of the GOTO module must be adjusted)
The PatchMaster controls (of the current voice!) are mapped to the hardware controls. In order to move controllers of VCV modules, the PatchMaster controllers must be connected to the controllers of the VCV modules.
The output of the synth voice must be connected to the first VU module. The volume can then be adjusted on the mixer (MixMaster) using the corresponding fader (1-4) of LaunchControl. Fader 8 sets the master volume and faders 5-7 the effects (of the current voice).
CV for the voice can be taken from the OCT module and GATE (and VEL) from the KEY-SEQ module. This provides the notes for the synth voice.
In the 8FACE module, the settings of the PatchMaster controllers can be saved as a preset. LaunchControl’s second row of buttons can be used to switch between presets.
