Combing rhythms

A rough draft exploring some intricate rhythms and (comb) filter properties.

Few core elements: the main kick sound is shaped by feeding the ramp of the second envelope section of ‘Rampage’ on lo-range in the FM section of the EvenVCO, while simultaneously ramping this envelope into positive modulation of the Tangents filter through which the oscillator is feeding as well. All triggered from the drTroy sequencer, the stuttering nature of the sequence is based on utilizing the pulse-count feature on this module.

For further resonance these basics are feeding through a few resonators and conjunctional filters.

The quirky melodic delayed sounds in the back derive from feeding the comb-filtered sound of the kick through a delay which is modulated based on a s/h of white noise which is triggered based on the main clock, being the tidal modulator, I chose thise because I prefer it’s flexibility. If you decrease the delay time it will become more melodic..

Some final conjunctional rhytms are created by applying the gate of the main drTroy sequencer to drive other seq-3 modules which respectively trigger parts of the Trummor synth.

Hands down to everyone involved in the VCV community for the endless inspiration!
