Result of the 8-Producers-1-Track Challenge. Eight producers worked together in a fun challenge to create a generative ambient track.

Starting out from a basic template, each participant sequentially contributed exactly one voice, then passed the patch on to the next one. The order was per-determined randomly.

Each producer was allowed to use resources from the prior participants, but was advised to leave previous voices untouched as much as possible. This meant that everyone needed to tailor their own ideas and actions to what was already present in the patch.

All modules are available for free in the VCV Rack Library.

Thank you to all participants! To me, this was a tremendously fun and educational challenge, and I hope there will be many more to come.
