Insert Mode Program – Series Routing – Program MIX 50% (HS1-75%). If you intend to use Infinite / Freeze a great deal, switch over to Parallel routing. Much better separation.
WeedWacker into Hall. This Program is the V-4 of three. No more, I promise. I’ve (almost) run out of Distortion algorithms. Backstory in V-1 description.
All use distortion / fuzz, compressor/gate, modulation / chorus, a delay (or two, or three), reverb, with a fake exciter or two tossed in. I tacked on components unique to the algorithms used, such as octave shifts, wahs, EQ / filters, etc.
All three HotKnobs are pre-programmed for making fine adjustments to several of the effects. Customize the sound, using these variations:
* [P] HotKnob (+/-) – adjust Hall ‘exciter’ (EQ). [default = 50]
* [A] HotKnob (CW) – adjust WeedWacker Tone 1&2. [default = 0].
* [B] HotKnob (+/-) – adjust Hall Mix, Decay & Size. [default = 75].
EXP1 (default – full Heel) – two TS in series, mid-scooped, hefty distortion, into a medium hall, with hard walls Use sweeping towards toe on select notes or phrases for emphasis, almost like a wah action. Or as a solo / lead level alternative.
It’s an increase in WeedWacker Mix, with a subtle ‘wah’ sweep through the Mids, while building the reverb decay(s) from lower-to-higher frequency. It also increases Hall’s pre-delay time & modulation depth, for a bigger, all-around presence.
Aux Switches – WeedWacker (optional):
4). Drive On/Off – Clean [this one is especially useful]
5). +6 dB boost On/Off
6). Stage 2 On/Off
Other options include momentary or latching Infinite and Freeze, and a balls-to-the-wall WeedWacker drive boost, with reverb backing off.
See the Program Notes for more information on the PERFORM switch mapping.
