Preset meant for Osmose will run on Continuum but Y there will bring in more volume on bowed component which is needed for Osmose to have volume increase through the full key press).
This is a modification of the VlnVlaCelBass2 preset (based on the Harman) by Ed Eagan that adds his Uki Pizz1 preset (also based on the Harman) in addition to a col legno-like component I added with a BiqBank. This is one of the ases where three banks can be used because the Delay bank has the option to use Bank B’s Harman instead and since I used a BiqBank for the col legno component that extra bank was available allowing for three physical models to be used in the one preset. I had to modify one SG to be shared between the VlnVlaCelBass2 and Uki Pizz1 presets as there were not enough available (though I could have tried using a dual SG – but was not needed in this case).
Controls:
• I: StrSize – Size of String going from more cello to violin
• ii: Pizz_Legno – Adjust crossfade ratio of pizz to col legno where min = all pizz and max = all col legno. Note attacking pizz softly but still quickly will give a softer pizz. If you press really slow, the tap effect will be negated and only the bowed sound will come through (if its volume is turned up). So the Pizz component can be used like an Osmose tap effect if the Bowed component is also turned up.
• iii: BowedVol – Adjusts the volume of the bowed component from min = none to max = max bowed volume.
• iv: PizzLegVol – Adjusts the volume of the pizz/col legno component from min = none to max = max volume.
• v: LegnoForce – Adjusts the Col Legno force volume from max to min. Min still gives a soft col legno.
• vi: PizzRelease – If the Pizz is turned up this will add release (sustain from min to max).
Note: When 10.40 is ported to Osmose much more sophisticated models can be created with Overlays.
interesting :)
