Bit War

A generative melody to mourn the end of the Bit War.

Part synth melody, part video game explosions, part wind.

This was primarily an exploration of creating compound sine waves, the rest was a short attempt to make something with them.

For ease of use, I recommend an external midi device to to control the waveform. The multiplier starred parameters control its shape, (these are currently CC 4 – 7, 16 – 19) These control the amplitudes of the sine waves. The maximum possible amplitude will be the sum of the the amplitudes. I may add something to stop the waveform clipping.

The starred rate parameter controls the frequency of the LFOs generating the sine wave. Each LFO is 1/8th slower than the one before it. The fastest LFO matches the rate set.

There is a value module on the waveform page which can be used to monitor it.p
