This patch uses an EQ to filter out the Kick, Snare and Hihat sounds from your voice and output real drum sounds.

Like a vocoder, but for drums… similar concept to Vochlea Dubler, but cheap and dirty.

Use the visualiser to find the peaks in your own beatboxing sounds and match them on the EQ.

Try a P, K and T or S sound to get a sample of how it works.

I’ve set it up to be able to be used as a standalone set up, or to convert to your voice to MIDI and play drum sounds in other DAW.

I use an ipad, so I just add it as an audio effect in one channel of AUM or CUBASIS and have a midi instrument connected to it on another channel.

It’s pretty lag free and a bit of fun to play with. Super easy way to get a basic beat idea from your head onto the track! Please give me feedback, also, throw me any ideas on how to make it velocity sensitive.
