BassEffectRack is exactly what the name implies. It takes the input from a channel on an audio interface (specifically for me, my bass on Input 2) and routes the signal through a variety of tunable effect modules.
The signal is first directed through a compressor and then a set of parallel connected filters. There are four banks of effect classes routed through the AUX busses of the mixer: reverb, chorus, ring mod, and distortion. The output is passed through a rotary speaker effect to add tremolo if desired.
There are 16 LFOs that can be connected to the various effects modules, but they are disconnected by default. Have fun! An oscilloscope and spectrum analyzer are included for waveform analysis.
This effects rack was designed for my bass, but it useful by any single-channel instrument.
This patch uses all free, open-source modules.
FUTURE WORK:
I’d love to find a way to add a synth pad to the mix matching the pitch of the input signal. I haven’t found a good way to do this yet. If you have ideas, please let me know.
