10BASIC VCV kick drum with high pass filter

Left LFO (with inverted sawtooth output) changes pitch of VCO from an immediate high note sloping down to base note. Change the OFST (offset) from unipolar to bipolar to deeper frequencies. This LFO’s FREQ (frequency) also controls the speed (BPM) of the kick drum sound.
Second LFO runs at half the speed and attenuates (changes) the CUTOFF of the VCF (filter) for those squelchy sounds.

When the sawtooth LFO begin its cycle it starts with tone 10 octaves higher than the frequency set on the VCO. The VCF’s cutoff also starts 10 octaves higher than the frequency set with the CUTOFF knob, but at half the speed. This is why there is a ‘gap’ / silence between the kicks which is perceived as tempo.

Occasionally both LFOs may need to be RESET with a TRIG from the PULSES module.
Output of the first filter which is a low pass filter is patched into a second high pass filter for temporary “muting” of the kick sound. 8VERT is used for that purposes: when 8VERTS top knob is at noon (0V) the kick drum sound is let through. When it is at 5 o’clock (10V) low kick drum frequencies are filtered out (with slight attenuation (adjustment) of the volume using the DRIVE input of the filter.
