I was actually just trying to make a sample based groove-box inside my ZOIA.
There’s 2 4-track 8-step sequencers.
All tracks are connected to 2 channel in switches on PAGE 5. These are then connected to their respective sampler.
Samplers are loaded with drum sounds but you can upload whatever you like.
All 4 Samplers -> Audio mixer -> Compressor -> Audio output
PAGE 0: CONTROLS
-Audio output has gain control.
-Groove controls:
—LFO ->in switches for sequencer clocks
—Sky button -> in swicthes input select & sequencer restarts (queues)
—Magenta “A-B” button -> in switches in PAGE 5. (This allows you to select between the grooves programmed in sequencer 1 and sequencer 2)
EXTERNAL AUDIO:
Audio in -> Plate reverb -> stereo VCA -> Audio output & looper (PAGE 6) -> VCA (PAGE 6) -> Audio output
Audio in -> looper (PAGE 7) -> compressor -> VCA (PAGE 7) -> Audio output
PAGE 0: EXTERNAL AUDIO CONTROLS
-Value module under LFO controls volume of incoming signal.
-Yellow value module controls reverb mix.
-Lower left green and pink pushbuttons work as mute buttons for the loopers.
-On the right side there’s 3 pushbuttons:
—First red one activates recording for the first looper (PAGE 6).
—Aqua button controls reverse for first looper (PAGE 6).
Third button, red, activates recording for the second looper (PAGE 7). This one is set to a lower octave. That’s why the whole section is called “Bass rec”.
NOTES:
I also included the Band Re-sampler patch, which is a direct copy of everything mentioned above, but everything that goes to the Audio output is also connected to a sampler on PAGE 0.
Top controls activate recording and playback for this extra sampler so you can actually record any ideas you’ve made on the patch and save them as a sample of their own.
This is more of a work in progress addition and could be done better but it works just fine for some experimentation.
Enjoy!
