The harmonic heavy lifting is done by GrmComb, with the changes in the sea surf (GrmPlay) and the shifting bandpass filters in GrmBand adding the resonances to provide tonal variation.
Initially I was inspired by Anemond Sloom, a tool I have used in the past to process sea sounds, however GrmPlay in not is the same league for extereme timestreching and spectral shaping, so instead I made the best use of Atelier and what it offers.
My field recording of the sea was made in Whitby North Yorkshire, a place normally associated with vampires roaming the streets after dark :-). Imagine this piece instead as the morning sun rising over Whitby harbour.
To use: unzip the file (.grmtools and .wav in the same directory) and load ‘Petras – Ambient Resonances.grmtools’ in Atelier. Atelier should pick up the .wav file. If not then in the grmplay module load ‘Petras – Whitby Sea Surf.wav’.
Put together as a continued exploration of Atelier.

That’s a lovely one ! 👌🏽
Thanks!
