This is my first solo venture into VCV Rack. A semi generative ambient piece using Scanner Darkley’s Orca’s Heart plugin as the random sequencer and Audible Instruments resonator and modal synthesizer generating the sounds.

I have only just started on this adventure having been put off for some years by the seeming complexity of VCV Rack – but thanks to Omri Cohen’s videos, patches and tutorials, along with VCV Rack Ideas, and of course many others on this platform (cheers, BugOut), I have been mesmerized by the infinite capabilities of the software.

The fun thing is, with just a little knowledge and a lot of courage, it’s possible to start getting pleasing results (for me at least) fairly quickly, and the learning process is continuous and very often accidental – the best recipe for creativity.
