Alternative Timeline

Another attempt of getting close to my standard dTape setting on the Strymon Timeline: A fairly unspectacular tape delay sound with only a bit of modulation and a bit of both high and low cut. Not 100% there, yet.

There’s two Timeline features which currently seem impossible to replicate on the LVX:

1. Timeline has a separate function for infinite repeats. When you hold the current preset footswitch (or send MIDI CC#97=127), Timeline will go into infinite repeats, no matter what setting repeats are at; and releasing the footswitch will go back to the current setting. You can alter the amount of repeats/feedback via MIDI CC#9, and still get to the same level of infinite repeats with HOLD/CC#97. Not really possible on the LVX, where two assigns to FEEDBACK will always cross-influence each other.

2. On the Timeline dTape echo, the first repeat sounds significantly different from the following ones; this cannot really be replicated on the LVX. Not sure I need that, though.

Disclaimer:
Most of my patches are made from scratch (some started from factory presets). Most require firmware 1.1 (or higher). Most were programmed with an expression pedal hooked up to the LVX. So, if the preset does nothing or way too much, you may have to connect an expression pedal and experiment with pedal positions :-)
