63 Insert Mode Programs, based on the original MIDIVERB 1 (1986). 36 more variations, using the same 3 algorithm pairs. Not intended as a 1:1 recreation. Instead, the ‘flavor’ of a vintage unit, without the membrane switches & funky power supply.
The concept here uses an entire Program List as Alesis-enhanced presets, all derived from tweaks to the 3 base Programs: SP2016 – DynaVerb – Reverse Reverb. Each Program has two (nearly identical) instances of the algorithm/preset in Parallel. This allows for easy replacement of Preset A or Preset B, with modulations, delay, pitch, etc. Many combinations of effects with MIDIVERB will benefit from a switch to Series Routing.
Extensive MIDI implementation is listed under the Program Notes, along with fleshing out the basic onboard & external control mappings.
