Note: For 10.09 (do not run on 10.40 firmware). Instructional preset. A simple preset showing how you can set a specific additive index in the Mahling phrase and depending on where you sit in the pattern, you can get a variety of timbres. A number of settings give you a decided reedy flavor which can be tuned with Spectral Dilation adjustment. Here a reedy index is selected (a few more are given in the preset’s edit text you can try).
Instructions: This preset should work on Osmose as there is a controllable vibrato that will come in on Aftertouch (on regular continuum it will ramp up on Y after a bit of zero shelving – add more shelving to Y in formula C if you want more space playing without the vibrato coming in).
Also note formula A uses X range volume adjustment because the harmonic content falls off as you get past C5 so that is adjusted in the formula A output). YOU can play with formula A to create a volume output to your liking.
Macro Controllers:
i = Tone (Adjusts Spectral dilation)
ii = VibSpeed (Adjuss the speed of the AfterTouch vibrato component). Set to minimum for no vibrato.
Note: Polyphony is set to 4.
Surface:
X = Pitch
Y = Aftertouch Vibrato (or brings in vibrato on Y for Continuum).
Z = volume
Ped1: Sus
Ped2: Sos1
