This module provides four Attack-Decay envelope triggers.
The triggers can be addressed with the four stacked buttons, or with the four Digital Signal (DGS) inputs to the right of the buttons.
This module is designed so that the envelope will not retrigger until it has completed its entire AD cycle. You can, however, reset all of the envelopes at once with the reset button in the lower right, or reset it with a DGS at the input in the upper right.
The output of the module is a Direct Signal (DS) between 0 and the maximum value set by the unmarked knob in the top middle of the module. A value node rounded to the nearest hundredth above the four outputs displays the maximum value the envelope will reach during its cycle.
Below the maximum value knob are the two time value knobs for the attack (labeled “a”) and decay (labeled “d”). Below the decay knob is a multiplier selector – you can choose between knob value * 1 second or knob value * 100 seconds.
To the left of the maximum value knob is a curve selector button. You can choose between a linear, exponential, or logarithmic response. To see the difference between these three, examine the output with a waveform node.
Above this button is a normalized input, meant for storing presets, or changing the curve remotely. Its default is linear, but a value of 2 or 3 will change it to exp or log, respectively.
Finally, the button below the curve options indicates the position of the tap for the exp and log functions (linear is unaffected). The first tap is a gentle curve, while the third is more extreme. You can change how the taps behave by entering the module and adjusting the Mapper nodes inside.
Below this button is a normalized input, meant for storing presets, or changing the number of taps remotely. Its default is 1, but a value of 2 or 3 will change it to 2 or 3 respectively.
